To infinity and beyond! Okay, so maybe you’re not Buzz Lightyear... but you’ll surely be buzzing about this beautiful Mnemba Island resort located just off the northeast coast of Zanzibar! Each of the 12 open-sided, thatched wooden suites comes complete with its own private shaded veranda. The decor is simple and contemporary, leaving guests the opportunity to truly enjoy their natural surroundings. Four-poster beds are made up of crisp linens and mosquito netting to keep the pesky bugs away! Spacious bathrooms include double sinks, a bath, and shower curtains made up of exquisite Kenyan glass beads.

If you’re looking for excellent service, this resort is top-notch. Tea is delivered directly to guest’s front doors at dawn, and closets are filled with hats, cotton robes, and beach bags for your convenience. Spend your days on the white sand beach or, for the more adventurous, opt for windsurfing, paddle boarding, and diving. The resort also offers six boats for guests to go swimming with dolphins and to go fly-fishing! Guests can also go on tours arranged by the resort -- from a historic slave route tour to a scuba dive or cultural tour; there’s something for everyone.

If all the sunshine leaves you hungry, the staff can arrange a romantic candlelit dinner to be served on the beach for you. The dining room and bar are also great options to dine on fresh seafood and exotic desserts.

If you’re thinking of bringing the family, please keep in mind the resort limits guests to bringing 2 children.
