Location:

Crans-Montana Switzerland West Europe
LuxuryMountain

You may have heard of popular towns in Switzerland like Geneva and Zurich, but what about Crans-Montana? Just a few hour train ride from Geneva, this ski resort is a paradise for any mountain lover. Set at an elevation of 2112m above sea level, Hotel Chetzeron in Crans-Montana overlooks the Rhone Valley and Alps. With just 16 cozy rooms, Chetzeron offers guests a true "ski in ski out" experience. Environmentalists will also love to hear that this resort uses solar panels to heat its water and a unique pellet-fired boiler.

All 16 rooms and suites at Chetzeron are named after a summit inspired by the mountains. Italian showers and warm wood paneling complete each room, and the scenery is incredible from every spot– even the bathrooms have panoramic views! Though it’ll be hard to leave your room, you’ll want to experience all that the resort’s spa has to offer.

There is a separate wellness zone where you can dive into the heated swimming pool or enjoy a steam bath and get heat treatments in the sauna. If you prefer the cool treatments, a bench of snow and ice bucket are available too! With some relaxing Ma-uri full body massage from New Zealand, free stream foot massage, and Aloha head massage from Hawaii, you can heal your mind, body, and soul.

You can head over to the Chetzeron Restaurant for dining and indulge in traditional Valais-based specialties and an exquisite selection of French and Italian wines. The hotel’s terraces are spread out over three levels, and from here, you can see the valley spread out in front of you. Moreover, in the city, you can join an alpine cooking course, walk on the mountain's paths, or even have a barbecue or picnic in the midst of nature. Of course, the activities surrounding Chetzeron are endless. Ski, snowboard, and frolic through the snow!

Most hotels describe themselves as historic. Palacio del Inka was a palace, then a Spanish colonial mansion, then a museum, and is now asking if you'd like a pisco sour.
