A 377-meter (1,237-foot) tower. An infinity pool on the 76th floor. Eight restaurants spread across 82 floors. Dubai's latest architectural statement has arrived, and it's already snatched several Guinness World Records in the process.
Ciel Dubai Marina, Vignette Collection by IHG opened its doors this week as the world's tallest hotel, rising 377 meters (1,237 feet) above the waterfront and dethroning the Gevora Hotel from its previous perch. The building now holds multiple world records, including the highest infinity pool and the highest nightclub – though the latter will be short-lived once the Burj Azizi project is completed.

The tower spans 82 floors and houses 1,004 rooms, making it a significant addition to Dubai's already crowded skyline of superlatives. Developed by The First Group and managed by The First Group Hospitality, Ciel joins the InterContinental Hotels Group's Vignette Collection, a brand created for distinctive independent properties.
The foundation alone required 12,000 cubic meters of concrete and over 2,700 tonnes of steel. After delays from its original 2023 completion date, the building finally welcomed its first guests on November 15, 2025.
Architecture and Location
The design comes from NORR Group and architect Yahya Jan, featuring a silver facade with tapers at both the top and bottom sections. The sculptural form includes graceful recesses at its apex, while floor-to-ceiling glass windows dominate the interior, framing views of Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf.
Driveway
The hotel sits in the heart of Dubai Marina, offering direct access to the Marina boardwalk, water taxis, and connections to Dubai Marina Mall. JBR Beach, Bluewaters Island, and Ain Dubai – the world's tallest observation wheel – are all within minutes. The location provides immediate access to the city's tram and metro services.
Lobby
Sustainability features include energy-efficient systems, rainwater harvesting, and green roofs designed to promote biodiversity and reduce urban heat.
