Uganda's highest lodge is catchily named after its unique location. It's set on a forested ridge close to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, nearly 7000 feet (2,100 meters) above sea level.
The cottages are built from volcanic stones, and the interiors are decorated to give a sense of comfort. The Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge has uninterrupted views of the green hills and the Virunga Volcanoes – located in Rwanda and the DRC - through the oversized windows. The seven spacious and elegant rooms come with a private veranda with awe-inspiring views of the Ugandan natural habitat.
The room rates include all the meals made from fresh ingredients taken straight from the botanical garden outside the lodge. In addition, there are personal butlers and housemaids assigned to every guest who can organize private dining on your terrace or even give you a hand massage.

Nkuringo gorilla family is the most friendly towards humans from the five gorilla families living in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. However, reaching them is not an easy feat. The trekking trail starts and ends at the lodge, but the time to reach the gorillas will take at least four hours.
