Gaige House + Ryokan - Japanese Zen In The USAGaige House
+ Ryokan

This Glen Ellen inn was built in the 1800s by businessman, Albert Ebenezer Gaige. There was a butcher’s shop below and living quarters above. At some point in the intervening century, the house began to be used as an inn and remains so to this day.

A Spa was added in 2006 and offers skilled masseuse and treatments in your Zen Suite or outdoors in the private cabana. The meandering grounds include a pool and hot tub allowing moments of prime relaxation. The suites are a blend of traditional and contemporary and come with freshly baked cookies. The creekside suites overlook the Calabaza Creek and feature a granite soaking tub and private patio.

The food at Gaige House is so good they even have their own recipe book to satisfy the many guests who demand to know their culinary secrets. They also have wine and cheese tasting every evening in the sitting room. Stay at the Gaige House next to the famous Sonoma Valley with its specialist wineries and markets and explore this magical region.
