Georgy's Hütte - Alpine Hut 3,200 Meters Above Sea LevelGeorgy's
Hütte

This mountain hut is located below the Piz Languard at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level. The hut was founded by Wilhelm Georgy - a painter who was greatly inspired by the animals, flora, and views of the area.

Take your rest in the cottage where there is room to sleep 24 people. Evening meals and breakfast is served in the cozy dining room and there is also a library with books about mountains and natural history. Best of all is the large terrace where you can view the glaciers and mountains. You can see the Bernina chain with the Palu, peaks of the Bella Vista, the Zupo, L'Argient, La Cresta Guzza, and the mighty Piz Bernina standing 4049m above sea level. The animals that drew the hut’s founder to this pastoral spot remain, so watch out for the marmots, stoats, birds of prey, and the marvelous mountain flora.
