DesignNature

The Herdade do Moinho Novo, located in the municipality of Montijo, Portugal, is among the latest innovations in agritourism. Only 30 minutes from Lisbon, the bungalows are set in a cork oak forest, meaning they are surrounded by nature. The “hanging houses” are perfectly integrated into the rural landscape where guests can enjoy their environment's tranquility and beautiful scenery.

There are a total of eight houses to choose from, each with its own unique theme, including the forest home, the vintage home, the future home, Casa Belle Époque, the industrial home, and the Casa Colonial. Each bungalow integrates the rustic and contemporary style with a splash of color to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The spacious accommodations include a kitchenette and private balcony with sweeping views of the pool or lake.

The entire property has been converted into an organic farm where guests can escape the chaos of the city and get back to nature. During your stay, you can participate in the daily activities of farm life, including feeding the animals, horseback riding, bike tours, hiking, tractor riding, gardening, or observe your surroundings as you relax by the pool or enjoy a meal on your porch. The Herdade do Moinho Novo offers you the joys of simple country living with elegant accommodations.
