Risonare is Italian for ‘resonate’ and connects with the intentions of renowned architect, Mario Bellini, who wanted to design a resort to bring people and their environment into harmony. Loosely based around a traditional Italian village, rooms are small ‘houses’ and there are communal spaces and plazas where people can feel the wellbeing that springs from community. KDa are an architectural practice in Tokyo. They designed the Garden Chapel which won silver in the D&AD Awards which are the Oscars of the deign world. Some lucky couples have had their wedding ceremony in this mystical chapel, under the soft gaze of Mount Fuji. To date, the hotel has collected 13 international architecture and design awards and remains one of Japan’s most unique resorts.
