Hotel du Cap Eden Roc - An Exquisite Property

Location:

Antibes France West Europe
BeachChateauLuxury

This amazing Napoleon III building is situated 15 minutes from Cannes in 22 acres of private parkland. Built in 1870 it was originally intended to serve as a writer’s retreat but that didn’t work out and the property became a luxury hotel that still attracted famous writers and artists. Yes, over the years such luminaries as Scott Fitzgerald, George Bernard Shaw, and the British royal family have stayed here.

Renovations are carried out every winter to make sure that the original elegance never whithers so your room has the same marble bathroom and large terrace the original aristocrats enjoyed except now there is also a private Jacuzzi and wifi. There are a number of restaurants, bars, and lounges to spend your time and the hotel has a head chef, pastry chef, chocolatier, and sommelier to make sure your taste buds don’t go unaltered in deliciousness. During the day there is time to engage in water sports, explore the culture of the area, or relax at the spa and wellness center.

Hotel Miramalfi - Clifftop Romance on Italy's Amalfi Coast

There's something deliciously impractical about building a hotel on a cliff.
