No Man’s Fort - Naval Fort Turned Into A Luxurious Private Island Hotel

Location:

Seaview United Kingdom West Europe
FortIndustrialIslandRemote

No Man’s Fort is a place for someone who wants to get away from it all... and have it all. Impossible? Well, this private island resort outside Portsmouth is one of Britain’s most secluded hotels, but it might also be one of its most entertaining with five bars, a cabaret club, and rooftop hot tubs all on board.

The hotel is set in an original coast fort built in the 19th century for naval defense. After the coastal artillery was abolished in the 1950s, four other forts were put up for sale. It was eventually purchased by private investors who converted No Man’s Land into a luxury getaway and event venue today.

You can choose from 23 en suite bedrooms that check all the boxes of luxury. Think huge rooms with separate sitting areas, gorgeous sea views, and stylish furniture in the maritime theme. The best room in the house is undoubtedly the Lighthouse – a two-bedroom penthouse with a large glass-walled living room overlooking the sun deck.

But, tempting as it is, you don’t come to No Man’s Fort to stay in your room all day and marvel at the views. Each day at this hotel is packed with activities. Rib rides, spa treatments, a fort treasure hunt, laser tag, and even roasting marshmallows over a fire pit. Plus, they will accommodate your requests if you have ideas for more activities. You might be in the middle of the sea, but you certainly won’t be bored.
