Location:

Fortuna Costa Rica Central America
Eco-FriendlyJungleNature

Located in Fortuna, Costa Rica, at the foot of the Miravalles Volcano, this ecolodge is unlike any other. The truly unique thing about staying at Rio Perdido is that the surrounding environment is, for the most part, untouched. From forests and canyons to natural hot springs, travelers will enjoy a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Guests of Rio Perdido will stay in one of the lodge’s 20 bungalows, each distinct yet equally cozy and accommodating! Outfitted with crisp white sheets and pops of color throughout the room, each bungalow offers a terrace complete with a hammock to enjoy. Though Rio Perdido is secluded and offers a haven for relaxation, each room has free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and other enjoyable amenities.

If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, there are plenty of spots nearby to get your adrenaline pumping! From ziplining and mountain biking to hiking and whitewater tubing, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

After your adventures, take a break in Rio Perdido’s relaxing spa – enjoy a Swedish massage, or take part in a signature volcanic mud treatment in the hot river pool.

Rio Perdido also offers a unique dining experience for guests called the Floating Platform – 160 ft above the river! Enjoy authentic food made with the freshest local ingredients under the starry night sky!

Wild Hill, Kenya - The Safari Lodge That Grew Out Of A Bean Farm

There's a secret door built into a hillside in Kenya. Step through it, walk a short tunnel, and you emerge to one of the most disorienting views in East Africa: a vast, golden sweep of Maasai Mara plains stretching 2,000 feet (610 meters) below you, lit by shafts of afternoon …
