Sekeping Kong Heng is a boutique hotel located in Ipoh, an old British colonial town with a slow pace of life near to some fabulous hiking trails. The three-storey building was originally a home for actors who performed in an adjacent theatre which burnt down in the 1950s. Today, it has been refurbished to house a coffee shop on the ground floor and a hotel in the rest of the building. The coffee shop is famous for its Western cuisine and features everything from delightful cakes and burgers to artisan coffees. The main building has been rejuvenated in a way careful to preserve the original character of the building while adding new features such as an extension that includes a courtyard with a stairway to the upstairs accommodation and lounge area with its beanbags and hammocks for those lazy afternoons. Your amazing suspended glass house has TV, Wifi and a rain shower. In the day, grab a bike from reception and head out and explore this fascinating town.
