Cape Town South Africa Africa
LuxuryMovingTrain

The multi-award-winning Blue Train is a luxury train that takes you from Pretoria to Cape Town through Africa’s most delicious scenery. The journey is a long one, 27 hours, but it will feel way too short to you encapsulated as you are in a suite that is as luxurious as any in the world.

Billed as a “five-star moving hotel”, the train has hosted royalty both historic and contemporary. The suites are soundproofed so you are not even disturbed by the sound of the train. There is a stainless steel kitchen suitably equipped to provide 5-star menus. Taking inspiration from the British Empire, begin by being ushered into the luxury pre-departure lounge, take high tea in the afternoon lounge car and then find yourself at the cigars and cognac in the gentleman’s club in the evening. The Blue Train has two qualified engineers on board at all times, underfloor heating and air conditioning.
