Luxury

The brand new Inside House hotel is located in the downtown of Chiang Mai. It's built in the Lanna Colonial style with fantastic attention to detail on its magnificent white facade. From the moment you enter, you will be amazed by the high-arched, carved wooden details. An ancient sacred Bodhi Tree and lush tropical greenery encompass the elegant residence.

The royal looks hide a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Inside House was named after its homely feel. It's a compact hotel where hospitality is of great importance. Each of the 31 individually designed rooms and suites carry the building's color scheme along with the pretty ornaments. You'll enter your room in an old-school way with a key — refreshing touch for a heritage building. Rooms are either facing the green courtyard or a ten-meter-high vertical garden. The most photogenic are the 13 palatial pool suites. The top floor's Doi Suthep Pool Suites come with a 7-meter long glass-walled pool, while the Waterfall Pool Suites have tropically themed patios with mini-waterfalls, bathtubs, and pools. If you are after Instagram likes, you'll have an easy time with the photos you take here.

The Inside House has a total of 14 swimming pools, including an outdoor communal pool. There is one restaurant, Ghin, but you can order some fancy food that floats in your pool too. In the neighborhood, you'll find vibrant walking streets and sacred temples. Chiang Mai is the old city that never sleeps!

Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort - A Bamboo Sanctuary In The Tabanan Jungle

There's a version of "eco resort" that means a few solar panels and a sign about towel reuse. Ulaman is not that. This is a place where the walls are literally compressed earth, the staircases are woven bamboo, and there's a hand-carved wine cave hidden behind a stone wall that …

Copacabana Palace - The Grand Dame Still Throwing the Best Party on the Beach

A hotel got shot in the crossfire of a presidential scandal, hosted the first screen pairing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and somehow still manages to feel like the calmest place on one of the world's loudest beaches. That's Copacabana Palace in a nutshell: a century-old Art Deco block …

Widiane Resort & Spa - Where the Atlas Meets the Lake

There's a lake in Morocco that most travelers never find. Bin El Ouidane sits in the Middle Atlas foothills, roughly three and a half hours from both Marrakech and Casablanca, its water an improbable shade of blue against a backdrop of olive groves, argan trees, and cactus-covered hillsides. Perched on …

Auberge Aux 4 Vents - The Swiss Hotel Where You Can Take a Bath Outdoors - From the Second Floor

Between Fribourg's medieval rooftops and a park full of century-old beeches, a renovated 17th-century manor is doing something quietly remarkable. Auberge aux 4 Vents is not a boutique hotel in the algorithmic sense - all reclaimed wood and oat milk. It is something older and stranger: a patrician country manor …

Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Collection - Deep in the Charente, a Medieval Castle Reinvents Itself

Somewhere in the Charente countryside of southwest France, on a 1,000-hectare (2,500-acre) estate of forests, lakes, and open pastureland, there is a tennis court floating on a pond. There is also a 13th-century castle tower where you can sleep beneath a glass ceiling and look up at the stone ribs …

Hana-Maui Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Residence - The Far Side of Maui

Most resorts want you to stay on property. Hana-Maui Resort wants you to stay in a different way entirely - unhurried, untethered, and largely offline. Rooms here have no televisions, no alarm clocks, and in some cases no radios. The spa uses heated lava rocks and Hawaiian healing traditions that …

Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve - Stars, and Shells at Saudi Arabia's Most Remote Resort

Palacio del Inka, Cusco - Inside a 500-Year-Old Mansion: Stone, Gold, and a Baby Alpaca Named Inti

Most hotels describe themselves as historic. Palacio del Inka was a palace, then a Spanish colonial mansion, then a museum, and is now asking if you'd like a pisco sour. The stones - massive, fitted without mortar with an Incan precision that has outlasted earthquakes - belonged to Qorikancha, the …
