Located in the Mexican Caribbean and achingly hip, this hotel is built around a courtyard swimming pool: the blue iris in an eye of chicness. Around the pool are the designer day beds and a Jacuzzi. There is a DJ playing ambient music, hopefully with gratuitous lashings of DJ Shadow. The pool area and balconies become a club by night so you can seamlessly transition from daytime lounging to nighttime partying.

No children are allowed in so you can be guaranteed a break free from echoing childish cries. But it is not for the noisemakers - you can feel at home here and even do some of your own cooking in the self-service kitchen.
