Sophisticated, stunning, and set along the sea, Drakes of Brighton is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel located in Brighton, England. With just 20 bedrooms, guests will feel as if they’re staying in their own private, luxurious home that offers views of the bright blue English Channel. In fact, the atmosphere is so incredible that several well-known personalities have stayed at Drakes. It is the hotel of choice for famous guests looking to escape the madding crowd. But, what really makes Drakes so unique and wonderful?

Eleven of the twenty rooms offer sea views, while the others offer city views. Sea-view rooms on the attic level also feature lovely balconies. But it’s not just the views that will pull you in... it’s the services and amenities as well! Many rooms house gorgeous free-standing tubs; if you book such a room and know of your arrival time, let the hotel’s staff know. They can prepare your bath by filling it with steaming water and a luscious White Company Bubble Bath. Did I mention you can also order rose petals to sprinkle on top? How’s that for a grand welcoming?!

If all this pampering leaves you famished, not to worry– Drake’s got you covered. In fact, The Restaurant at Drakes offers a delicious 5-course tasting menu (including a vegetarian option!) for those looking to try a bit of everything. Menus are changed every 10 to 12 weeks to include the highest quality seasonal ingredients available in each dish. From seared scallops and pan-fried duck breast to mixed squash soup and homemade gnocchi, every stomach will leave satisfied. The restaurant has received several awards over the years for quality and excellence, including 10 years of praise and accolades in The Good Food Guide 2019.
