La Purificadora - Spectacular 19th-Century Factory Upgrade In Puebla

Jan. 25, 2016 by UNIQ Hotels

Location:

Puebla Mexico North America
Design

A former 19th-century water purifying factory, Hotel La Purificadora, is located in the historic city of Puebla, Mexico. The retention of many of the building's original elements, including exposed stone walls and stone aqueducts, lends La Purificadora an air of history and authenticity. At the same time, modern influences like a glass-walled swimming pool and sleek purple lounge chairs create a clean, sophisticated ambiance for guests.

Most of the hotel's 26 guestrooms—including three suites with private whirlpools—offer spectacular views of the hotel gardens and the city center beyond. In addition to an upscale, contemporary restaurant, amenities at La Purificadora include lovely gardens, a fitness room, and an exterior lounge with a fire pit. La Purificadora Restaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine with shared tables designed by the late architect Ricardo Legorreta. The outdoor terrace that can be rented out for events offers a view to the Five Wounds of San Francisco Conventional Church.

Steps away from the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Artist Quarter, and Puebla Convention Center, Hotel La Purificadora is a gem for those seeking an exciting experience in one of the world’s most beautiful cultural hubs.
