The Majestic Bus - Hippie Life In The British CountrysideThe Majestic
Bus

Hippies rejoice! This converted 1968 240-square foot Bedford bus is located near Hay-on-Wye in the Welsh borders. Powered solely by solar rays, this bus sits in a serene area with views of the rolling green hills over the Herefordshire countryside.

Travelers will find this bus to be equipped with everything one could need on a peaceful retreat. From the beautiful wooden floors to the dining area with a gas cooker and fridge, the Majestic Bus is full of natural light, complete with an L-shaped sofa that converts into a comfortable double bed. Not much of a camper? Don’t worry. Think of this more as an adventure in “glamping;” the price of the bus includes a separate wooden bathhouse complete with a [flush] toilet and roll-top bath with shower above.

Guests will also enjoy fresh-cut flowers from the Welsh Marshes as owner Layla Robinson is a self-proclaimed “flower addict” who makes sure the bus is peppered with the little explosions of color.

With travelers ranging from 20-70, everyone is sure to enjoy this whimsical lodging in a setting perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and canoeing. While the bus itself comfortably accommodates up to four guests, the surrounding area is perfect for pitching tents and camping under the stars for up to four additional guests.
