ArtDesignHeritage

The last century of songs and performances at the Crystal Ballroom have provided the inspiration for each of the 51 exquisite suites available at the McMenamins Crystal Hotel. Each suite is characterized by richly hued walls, black velvet drapery, colorful panels and headboards as accents, and animal print upholstery to add a touch of rock n roll. The hotel rooms also have scenic views of the city through large open windows.

Take daily tours of the city and enjoy all the gastropubs and local eateries in the vicinity. You can spend your day exploring the city’s many scenic parks and historical sites like Washington Park, the Portland Japanese Garden, the Grotto, and the Pittock Mansion.

If you decide to stay at the Crystal Hotel, you also gain access to the soaking pool, and you get preferential tickets to performances at the Crystal Ballroom. Enjoy great live music and outdoor seating at the Zeus café, names after Nate and Tillie Zusman, Portlandian club owners from the rockin’ 50s and 60s. If you would prefer to take in some rock n roll history while sipping on deliciously refreshing drinks at Al’s Den, head downstairs to the bar named after Al Winter, Portland’s legendary gambling lord of the ’40s.
