The Park Hotel Vitznau has an impressive setting between the Vierwaldstätter See and the Rigi mountain range with direct private lake access. The traditional house reopened after it underwent an extensive renovation in 2013. The more than 100-year-old foundation walls now form the framework for a suite hotel in the luxury class.
Inside, the Park Hotel focuses on individuality: None of the 47 residences, suites, and junior suites are the same. However, you can expect fine details of timeless contemporary design in each room.
The hotel's spa is equipped with everything you could ask for; a Finnish sauna, a sanitarium, a steam bath, many different Kneipp foot baths, an ice cave, as well as a plunge pool to cool off after a steamy sauna session. Because of the extensive options, some call it the Disneyland of spas.

Even by Swiss standards, the Park Hotel Vitznau boasts incredible views of Lake Lucerne.

As you would expect from a hotel that looks like a palace, the staff at the Park Hotel receive their guests in person.

The on-site restaurants offer the highest level of culinary experience.

Park Hotel Vitznau's spa - exclusive for the guests - spreads across 21,528 ft² (2,000 m²), spanning three levels. The spa lounge is adorned by 39 feet (12 meters) long ceiling-to-floor saltwater aquarium filled with over 30 species of fish.

Inside the hotel's basement, you'll find one of Switzerland's most extensive wine cellars, exclusively available for guests.

The interiors are decorated by the masterworks of the surrealist painter Claude Verlinde.

The spa's prime attraction is the 69 feet (21 meters) long and 30 feet (9 meters) wide indoor-outdoor infinity pool. Supplemented by the beauty of Alpine contours, the pool invites for a dip any time of the night.

The underwater lights lit up during sunset, giving rise to turquoise-colored steam above the water.

Closer to the waterfront, outdoor jacuzzi loungers are waiting for you to enjoy the pristine lake panorama. You can take advantage of Lake Lucerne's pleasant temperature (around 77 Fahrenheit / 25 Celsius) during the summer months and go for a scenic swim.

Included in the price, you can use the hotel's stand-up paddleboards, e-bikes, bicycles, a synthetic grass tennis court, a badminton court, and pedalos - aka hydrocycle.

If you enjoy long walks and hikes, the nearby Rigi mountains provide plenty of scenic routes to explore.
