This hotel is an Organic Bed & Breakfast and Ecology Resource Center which means they have amazing gardens overflowing with flowers, hand-built guestrooms using ethically-sourced materials, and a lovely courtyard and tea room. Much of the hotel has been made from recycled materials. There are buildings made from straw-bale and Adobe while the kitchen cooks delicious meals using local produce.
The hotel has a philosophy of “Thoughtfulness” encouraging a Satre-esq shouldering of personal responsibility for your life and environment. The location is in the stunning mountain-filled desert of West Texas near the Big Bend National Park. Choose to stay in one of a number of hand-built rooms which are more like private residences with living areas, bathrooms, and comfy beds. For breakfast you can try the famous Ricotta pancakes made from a special recipe and in the evening you will want to check out one of the many benefit concerts and charity events the hotel hosts featuring some of Texas’ best bands.
