MSC Virtuosa F1® Weekend
MSC is the world's third-largest cruise company, with 21 supersized ships. After the tumultuous years of COVID-19 that hit the tourism industry and ocean cruises especially hard, MSC is now on a journey to find smart ways of utilizing its fleet of ships.
One of them is entering into a partnership with F1® Official. That's the Formula 1® company for all you non-racing fans.
MSC Virtuosa is one of the newest ships of the company, launched in 2021. It is a Meraviglia-Plus-class cruise ship that cost €800 million to build, and it can accommodate 6,334 people at full capacity (4,842 with double occupancy).
Virtuosa and Grandiosa are MSC's largest ships.
MSC Virtuosa's green credentials are impressive. Thanks to the state-of-the-art engines, the ship reduced sulfur oxide (SOx) emissions by 98% and nitrogen oxide (NOx) by 90%.
The ship is high-tech too. For example, MSC Starship Club's humanoid robot is the first in the world to serve guests on the sea. It also has the largest shopping area at sea, with 11 boutiques and over 250 brands.
MSC Virtuosa has all types of rooms, from elegant cabins to deluxe suites, and when you get back from the track, the ship is fully equipped with everything you are looking for.
There is a great variety of restaurants, bars, leisure activities, kid's clubs, and entertainment.
MSC's Virtuosa is all about big numbers, so it also has one of the biggest water parks at sea. The five pools can accommodate over 1,000 people!
Between November 23 and 27 (from Thursday through Monday morning), MSC Virtuosa will be docked at the Abu Dhabi Port, a short ride from the Yas Marina Circuit, where the Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be held.
There are four accommodation packages to choose from, each with free rides to the race track and half-board dining.
