Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam - Colorful Copy-Paste Houses Stacked Up

Location:

Amsterdam Netherlands West Europe
DesignFairytale

This incredible-looking hotel is twelve stories high and looks as if a giant has taken a number of the green-painted cottages typical of the Zaan region and mashed them together.

One blue house stands out in the mix – it is a reference to Monet’s painting “The Blue House” completed in Zaandam in 1871.

The inspiration behind the project was the concept that the hotel is your temporary home. Located in the newly-revamped Zaandam district in Amsterdam, you will be only a short train ride from Amsterdam’s city center when you stay here.

Maison Mystique - A Thai Hotel So Wes Anderson It Hurts

Maison Mystique does not announce itself. It accumulates - vine-draped archways, a hidden whisky lounge behind a door that gives nothing away, glass domes of preserved butterflies frozen mid-flutter - until the place stops feeling like a hotel and starts feeling like a house that has been quietly waiting for …

Sea Containers London - A South Bank Hotel That Channels the Golden Age of Ocean Liners

The Warehouse Hotel, Singapore - Secret Societies, Opium Dens, and Cocktails That Map the Past

In the 1890s, this building on Robertson Quay was ground zero for Singapore's red-light district, a hub for opium dens, gambling houses, and Chinese secret societies who demanded 36 sacred oaths from new recruits. The street was known in Hokkien as "Chiu Long Lo" – Spirits Shed Street – after …

Highlands Castle - The Man Who Promised His Son A Castle - And Then Built Three

Somewhere on a mountaintop above Lake George, tucked behind life-size lion statues and Gothic iron gates, sits a place that's hard to believe exists. Victorian Mansion at Los Alamos - Sleep in a Cadillac, Wake Up in Wonderland

In the tiny wine country town of Los Alamos, population barely 2,000, sits a hotel so wonderfully eccentric it makes the Madonna Inn look restrained. Charmed Resorts Crowsnest Pass - Where Fairy Tales Come to Life in the Canadian Rockies

Deep in the rugged beauty of Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, something magical is happening.
